Either way, sleep when you can, nap when you want to, and smile even when you don't want to.L.A. Indeed crying over the first day of kindergarten is as valid as any emotion we feel when we lose control over the world our child stemps into.

Although I know it is human to count your blessings by the seemingly greater misfortune of others, I would remind you that with all challanges come blessings of perspective, appreciation of time and moments. Perspecive that simple a challange-free world cannot provide.

Childhood cancer is an absolute horror. It steals children, and leaves holes in families. In siblings it causes a variety of stress and anxiety of their own health and the health of loved ones.

If anyone wants to focus pity into action there are a lot of charities that support children and families going through pediatric cancer, Local Ronald McDonald Houses, Livestrong, local Children's hospital and Cancer foundations. Two of my friends have cancer right now (I'm 31) and I lost one to cancer a few years ago and every time I think I've too much going on, I think about them and what it's like for them as women and them as moms and what their families are going through. It really does help to put things in perspective. At the same time, it sounds like you've got your plate full! With all you have going on you'll probably laugh when I say this, but make sure you're taking care of you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your son.Alex Elliothttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08567976812466320977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31213366.post-92121478869345822312007-05-11T18:47:00.000-05:002007-05-11T18:47:00.000-05:00Happy Day to you!
